It all started when…

I’ve always loved homes; when I was a kid my dad and I would ride around on his motorcycle and go through model homes on the weekend for fun. In high school I got a subscription to House Beautiful magazine, and I never stopped loving and absorbing home design.

I graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with degrees in English and art history, and a Master of Arts in art history. Though there were many paths open to me, ultimately all I wanted to do was teach, which I did. I taught 6th grade at Regents for 1 year, 8th grade English at Veritas for 1 year, and was finally an adjunct professor of art history at Austin Community College for five years. When my son was two-years old I left teaching to stay home with my family.

In 2017 I had my third child and after years of looking at floorplans and home design we decided to build our own house next-door to my dad in Southwest Austin, where I grew up. Winter of 2018 we signed our building contract, that spring we sold our house, that summer we moved and finalized design options, and in the fall of 2018 we broke ground on our new home. The logistics involved with selling a house, renting a house, building a house, with three young children, are mind-boggling. I found myself doing it alone, with very little support from my realtor or sales associate. But, after a year and a half of transition and utter chaos, we moved into our beautiful new home in May 2019.

The following spring COVID forced our young family into lockdown within our beautiful new home. During this time I continued to spend all of my free-time looking at houses on Zillow or floorplans on Pinterest, despite the fact that I was in my perfect home. Despite my love of my homes, I always resisted real estate because I “don’t like realtors! Ugh, I’m not like that!”. My neighbor, who was a realtor, encouraged me to consider it, explaining to me that teachers and mothers make the best realtors because we’re able to educate and guide our clients. I decided to trust her opinion and get my real estate license.

In July 2021 I got my real estate license and I’ve never looked back. I LOVE what I get to do. I am honored to be trusted with the most important decision in a family’s life; where to call home. Let me help you find your perfect place.
